Creating or Accessing your Lefty Creator Account

Follow the link you received from your brand partner (either via email, or direct share of the URL), to connect with their landing page:

In both cases:

if it's your first time being invited to collaborate with a brand via a Landing Page: you will be prompted to make a Creator Account with an email and chosen password
if you have been invited to another landing page in the past, and thus already have a creator account: you will simply log in to your account

Step 1a: Associating a Social Account

If you have just made your creator account and this is your first time logging in, you will prompted to associate one of your social media accounts by signing in with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Twitter / X. If you are logging back in to a pre-established Lefty Creator account, jump to Step 3 below.

Note that you can only associate ONE social account with your Lefty Creator Account, thus, the recommendation is to associate INSTAGRAM as your brand partner may request that you share your Instagram Insights.

Accepting your Brand Partners Invitation

Once logged in, clicking on"Collaborations," you will see a "Pending" notification:

If the brand has requested it, in addition to "accepting" their invitation to collaborate with them via the landing page, you will also be prompted to share your Instagram Insights:

Prerequisites to Sharing Instagram Insights (!!!)

In order to be able to share Instagram Insights, there are some pre-reqs that must be met:

Your MUST have a Creator or Business Instagram Account (view Meta guide to setting up a Creator or Business Account HERE)
Your creator or Business Instagram Account MUST be linked to a Facebook Page (view Meta guide HERE)
The Facebook account associated with your Facebook Page MUST have insights access to the page (or full control); this is managed in Page settings. "Add," and then select "Manage" in the bottom-left corner to change permissions:

Sharing Instagram Insights: Step-by-Step Process

Select "Share Instagram Insight," and you will be taken through a short series of steps to connect your business or creator account, as outlined below:

WHEN PROMPTED TO ENABLE PERMISSIONS: you must be sure to enable ALL permissions.

Step 1: Facebook login

You will be redirected to login via Facebook, and then via Instagram:

Step 2: Establishment of Business or Creator account (if applicable)

If your Instagram account is not yet a Business or Creator account, you will need to follow the steps to switch your account to one of these types:

Step 3: Association (or creation) of Facebook Page

In order to share your Instagram Insights, as noted above, you must have a Facebook Page associated with your Instagram account. If you have not yet created one, you will be prompte to do so:

Sharing Insights Troubleshooting

If you experienced issues sharing your Instagram Insights, it is likely an issue due to your Facebook Page settings, specifically:

Your Creator or Business Instagram Account is not currently linked to your Facebook Page (view Meta guide HERE)
The Facebook account associated with the Facebook Page has not been given insights access (or full control) to the Facebook page; this is managed in your Page settings

You may also have encountered an error because you did not enable ALL PERMISSIONS when connecting your account with Lefty.

Adding Payment Details to your Account

If your brand has requested it as a part of your collaboration, you will be prompted to enter your payment details to enable them to process payments to you directly via Lefty:

After selecting "Add payment info," you will be re-directed to Lefty's payment partner, Stripe, where you will fill in your details and preferred payment methods:

When finished, your payment details will be associated with your account.

Processing Gift Requests

After you’ve setup your payment details, if your brand partner has made available the processing of product requests via Lefty, you will be prompted to make your product selections & enter your delivery information:

You’ll then get a notification that the product request is pending brand approval; once your brand partner has approved your request, the notification will change to “Active,” and you’ll get a notification via email of the processing of your gift request.

Registration T&Cs / Data Shared when Sharing Insights

Lefty is an approved API partner of Meta. Lefty will not be accessing any private data, password, or performance data apart from the campaigns activated one of your brand partners when you register your Instagram account via Lefty.

When selecting to share your Instagram Insights, you will grant permission to access the following Instagram information, and only for the duration of your opt-in:

Audience insights
Views & engagements (likes, comments, shares, saves) fo your campaign publications
Stories published during the collaboration

Per Meta’s data privacy policy, your registration will automatically expire after a period of 3 months, though you may opt out of your registration at any time.

Accessing your Creator Account Ongoing

To access your account at any time in the future, simply navigate to creators.lefty.io and enter your credentials. If you wish to change your password or any of your personal details, you can do so in your Settings.
